Rockland County Pride Festival

The Rockland County Pride Festival takes over downtown Nyack with a parade up Broadway and a free, family-friendly street festival with music, local drag artists and vendors. It is organized by the Rockland County Pride Center.

The Rockland County Pride Festival is organized by the Pride Center, a 501(c)(3) LGBTQ+ community center with a justice-focused mission. It is the only organization in Rockland County devoted solely to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people, and it serves people from across the Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey. Its goal is a world where LGBTQ+ people of all ages are safe, able to pursue their goals and supported by a strong community.

The center's youth program offers a free, supervised after-school space twice a week for middle and high school students, with dinner, tutoring, mental health resources and time to socialize, in both English and Spanish. The youth team also works one-on-one with families of LGBTQ+ young people, including advocacy at school. With Montefiore Nyack Hospital, the center provides LGBTQ+ health care at the Jacobs Family Pride Wellness Center.

The Pride Center also offers survival services to help people meet basic needs, referrals and help navigating medical care, mental health, housing, legal and social services, and advocacy against discrimination. Services are available in Spanish by phone. Because its small team is often out in the community, visitors are asked to make an appointment or call ahead.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 14, 2026. It usually falls second Sunday in June.
