Seattle PrideFest

PrideFest is a free two-day festival held on Pride weekend in Seattle, with a Capitol Hill street festival on Saturday and a larger festival at Seattle Center on Sunday. It is produced by the nonprofit PrideFest, separate from the Seattle Pride parade organization. The event features multiple stages and vendors.

PrideFest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has produced the Seattle Pride festival since 2007. It took over that year after financial problems left the previous producers unable to stage the event, and it had only six weeks to pull the festival together. The organization has grown it since then into what it describes as the largest free Pride festival in the country, reaching more than 200,000 people, and the busiest single day of any event at Seattle Center.

Festival director Egan Orion, a Seattle native, has produced LGBTQ community events since 2003, with vendor coordination handled by One Degree Events. Deputy festival director and chief talent curator LA Kendall LaBree has spent 30 years in Pacific Northwest nightlife and first joined PrideFest in 2008 as a DJ.

The organization's mission is to elevate LGBTQ people through arts and advocacy, honor the community's past, push for a better future and celebrate shared successes. Its festivals feature artists from the Northwest and around the country, and it relies on volunteers, staff, sponsors, small businesses, nonprofits and food vendors.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Seattle PrideFest has included festival, street fair and multiple stages.

Seattle PrideFest was first held in 2007.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 27-28, 2026. It usually falls last weekend of June, alongside the Seattle Pride Parade.
